Discover Small Groups at Covington Baptist Church

Connection Groups are an essential part of our church, as they provide a place where deeper fellowship and better support for one another can take place. Considering that the early church worshipped in large settings in the synagogues, as well as in homes, we unite together similarly in order to be in deeper fellowship with God and one another. God has reconciled us not only to Himself but also to each other. This "each other" is called His Church. Thus, we intentionally strive toward community through men's/women's groups, home gatherings, and other personal settings.

Connection Groups

Our Connection Groups are small groups that meet in several homes throughout our community once a week for fellowship, Bible study, and prayer from September to June. Our small groups are "sermon based" which means we seek to discuss and live out the truths that we learn on Sunday morning. If we, as the church, are really going to accomplish our mission of "living, loving, and proclaiming the gospel" then we know that Biblical community and discipleship are a must. Our current groups (beginning September 17, 2023):

  • Sundays at 6:00 pm (Mansfield)
  • Sundays at 4:30 pm (Covington)
  • Sundays at 5:00 pm (Liberty)
  • Thursdays at 6:00 pm (Harold/Dreps: Wellsboro/Mainesburg)

Get Connected in Community

From the beginning of time, God has hard wired the need for community in humanity. With the common foundation of the gospel of Jesus Christ, believers can share in true, loving community like no other people group can. It is not just common interests, personalities, or age groups that define us. As partakers of the blessings and reconciling work of God through Christ, we have been united both to Him and to one another. We invite you to share in the Biblical community at Covington Baptist Church.
